Hunter Names Sean Salomons as Women’s Volleyball Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

NEW YORK- The Hunter College Athletic Department is excited to announce the addition Sean Salomons as Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the women's volleyball program.

Sean Salomons brings nearly a decade of coaching and program leadership experience to the Hawks, with a proven track record of building competitive teams, mentoring student-athletes, and managing all facets of team operations. A former dual-sport collegiate athlete, Salomons combines deep knowledge of the game with a passion for student development both on and off the court.

Salomons most recently served as head coach for both the men's and women's volleyball teams at St. Joseph's University Brooklyn, where he guided the women's program to its first winning season since 2018. In addition to leading practices, managing travel, and overseeing budgets, he played a central role in recruiting academically driven student-athletes and maintaining a 100% graduation rate for both programs.

He also holds extensive experience at the high school and club levels. Since 2019, Salomons has coached both the varsity boys' and girls' volleyball teams at Packer Collegiate Institute, where he led the girls' squad to multiple top-10 rankings among New York State private schools. 

Simultaneously, Salmons serves as Director of the Supreme Basketball NYC high school AAU program, overseeing organizational strategy, coach development, fundraising, and player development clinics across the city. 

Salomons holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph's University New York, where he was president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and a member of both the basketball and volleyball teams.

Known for his commitment to culture-building, recruiting, and holistic athlete development, Salomons is excited to help elevate the women's volleyball program while continuing to mentor the next generation of student-athletes.
