Hunter College Men’s Volleyball Announces 2026 Schedule

NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's volleyball program has released its 2026 schedule as the Hawks prepare to open a new chapter under first-year head coach Sean Salomons.

The season begins on the road on Friday, Jan. 16, as Hunter travels to face BMCC at 6:00 p.m. in New York, N.Y. The Hawks remain away the following week with a matchup at Purchase on Friday, Jan. 23, before opening their home schedule against NYU on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 6:00 p.m. at the Sportsplex.

A busy close to January awaits, as Hunter competes in a pair of matches on Saturday, Jan. 31, taking on Curry and St. Joseph's (L.I.) in Patchogue, N.Y.

February opens with a home contest against Ramapo on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Sportsplex, followed by a road trip to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., for matches against King's College and St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Hawks then return to conference play on the road, visiting Medgar Evers on Feb. 10 and Bard on Feb. 17.

On Saturday, Feb. 14, Hunter will take part in a neutral-site doubleheader at Baruch College, facing Regis before squaring off with Baruch later in the day. The Hawks return home on Thursday, Feb. 19, to host York at the Sportsplex before another road weekend in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., against Manhattanville and King's College on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The final weeks of the regular season feature several key City University of New York Athletic Conference matchups. Hunter travels to face John Jay on Tuesday, March 3, before heading to Springfield, Mass., for matches against Springfield and Elms on Saturday, March 7. The Hawks then return home to host Lehman on March 10 and Brooklyn on March 17 at the Sportsplex, with a road contest at NJCU on March 12 mixed in.

Hunter will host a full day of volleyball on Saturday, March 21, welcoming NJCU and Vassar to the Sportsplex, before closing the regular season at CCNY on Tuesday, March 31.

The CUNYAC postseason tournament is slated to start on April 8, with the championship set for April 11.
