NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Hunter College wrestling team hosted Emmanuel College and Arcadia University in the Hawks Tri-Match on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex, dropping both duals in front of the home crowd.

Hunter fell to Emmanuel, 36-11, before closing the afternoon with a 42-15 setback against Arcadia.

In the first dual against Emmanuel, Kenan Djokic picked up six team points with a forfeit win at 141 pounds to even the team score at 6-6 early in the match. Alimkhan Guseinov added another highlight at 197 pounds, earning a dominant 19-2 technical fall over Aiden Riordan to account for the Hawks' final points of the dual. Hunter also battled in the heavyweight bout, where Hayden Roy dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to Jack Disharoon.

Against Arcadia, Djokic again delivered at 141 pounds, winning by injury default over Luca Tirpak to put Hunter on the board. At 157 pounds, Christopher Gliaos secured a tightly contested 4-3 decision over Nick DellaRocca to add three more points for the Hawks.

Guseinov capped the dual with another strong performance at 197 pounds, pinning Tyler Mains in 1:34 to bring Hunter's total to 15 points.

In exhibition action, Hunter saw an additional win from Jack Kent, who posted an 11-3 major decision at 165 pounds.

The Hawks continue their season at the Futures Tournament hosted by Alvernia University on Feb. 22, the team's last outing ahead of NCAA Regionals.
