ITHACA, N.Y.- The Hunter College wrestling team competed in the NCAA Regional over the weekend, with
Botensky Bauzile leading the team for an eighth place overall finish.
Junior
Botensky Bauzile (133 lbs) avenged a loss from earlier in his career in the Blood Round to advance to Day 2 and lock in All-Region honors for the second year in a row. On day two, Bauzile fell in the 7th place match, earning 8th overall.
At 149 lbs,
Jayden Medina won two matches en route to the Blood Round before falling in OT to Zach Vera of NJCU. Freshman Nasser Johnson (184 lbs) also had a memorable day, earning an 8-2 decision victory over Mariano Monacelli (Keystone).
