On Friday night, December 3, the Hawks hosted the Black Knights of Army in a dual meet during Homecoming. Senior Jose Samora Jr. won three bouts in foil en route to a 5-4 win, but the Hawks could not get wins from epee or foil as they fell 16-11.

Samora defeated his three counterparts in foil and got the necessary support from teammate Nicholas Burney who earned two wins, securing the bout 5-4. The sabre squad only managed to pick up two wins, coming from the weapons of Gianluca Arianna and Isaac Orbe as they fell 7-2. In a close duel, Nial Welch and Alex Sosa each secured two wins a piece in epee, but the squad couldn't grab a fifth and deciding win as the bout would end 5-4 in favor of the Black Knights.

The Hawks will break for the holidays but will be back in action on January 22 when they head to West Point, New York as they get another chance against Army.
