WALTHAM, Mass. — The Hunter College men's fencing team continued its season Saturday at the Eric Sollee Invitational hosted by Brandeis University. 

The Hawks were unable to generate much momentum, dropping all three dual meets on the day. Hunter's closest showings came against MIT and Boston College, with both contests ending in 26–1 decisions. 
 
Freshman Christian Mendez, competing in sabre, and Junior Steven Zhu, competing in épée, earned the Hawks their lone two bout victories on the day.  
 
The Hawks will regroup and put their best foot forward in their next competition Feb. 8 at Stevens University in Hoboken, N.J.
