Hunter's softball team lost both games against Stockton College on March 23rd at Pomona, NJ. The Hawks were shutout in both games 10-0 and 15-0.
Kristen McGoldrick hit a single in the third inning recording Hunter's lone hit against the Ospreys of Stockton College. Pitcher Leslie Dempsey struck out three batters in three and two-thirds innings of work. She allowed 11 hits and 10 earned runs. Erika Colangelo pitched in relief and walked one batter.
Stockton scored four runs in the first inning, four runs in the second inning, and two runs in the fourth inning for a 10-0 win over the Hawks.
Pitcher Briana Lombardo started the second game of the double-header for the Hawks. Stockton scored eight runs on five hits in the first inning. Erika Colangelo finished the game for the Hawks striking out one batter. Stockton won game two, 15-0 as the Hawks dropped to an 0-6 overall record.
The Hawks will travel to Mountclair, NJ on Tuesday, March 26th for a double-header match up against Mountclair State University at 3:00 p.m.
