Lipovac & Colangelo Homer Versus Scranton

Jessup, PA - Hunter's Julia Lipovac and Erika Colangelo homered in the same inning of game two, but the Hawks lost both games to Scranton College on Sunday, April 7th.

Pitcher Amanda Annicaro struck out four batters, but Scranton poured on six runs in the sixth inning to defeat Hunter 9-4 in game one. Annicaro threw five innings allowing six hits and five earned runs. Briana Lombardo replaced Annicaro and surrendered five hits and four earned runs.

Nicole Fillisetti paced the Hawks with two hits and an RBI. Molly Meehan also added two hits and scored a run. Hunter combined for seven hits but scored only one run in both the fourth and sixth innings and finished with two runs in the seventh inning.

In the later game, Hunter's Julia Lipovac and Erika Colangelo homered in the same inning. Julia Lipovac led off the second inning with a homer to center field giving the Hawks a 2-0 lead, then Erika Colangelo followed with a two-run homer to left field scoring Angelica Iacovetti extending their lead to 4-0.

Scranton went on to score five runs in the sixth inning taking a 6-4 lead over Hunter and went on to win 6-5. Erika Colangelo pitched five innings, struck out six batters and allowed six hits with six runs.

Hunter (6-16) will play Manhattanville College on April 11th at 3:00 pm in Purchase, NY for their next game.
