Hawks Advance to CUNYAC Championship Game, Defeating Brooklyn 3-0

BOX SCORE Staten Island, NY - The Hawks defense held Brooklyn scoreless while Erika Colangelo pitched a complete game sending Hunter to the 2013 CUNYAC Championships game.
 
Hunter scored one run in the first inning and two in the fifth to defeat Brooklyn. Sophia Ponce and Briana Lombardo both had two hits each while the Hawks pounded out ten totaled.
 
Colangelo picked up her second win of the CUNYAC championships after defeating Baruch in the semifinals. She held Brooklyn to only two hits while striking out three batters in a complete game.
 
Molly Meehan scored on an error by the Brooklyn defense in the first inning. Two more runs were scored in the fifth inning on a Julia Lipovac single down the right field line scoring Sophia Ponce (2-0), and then Briana Lombardo singled up the middle scoring Holly Isenberg.
 
Hunter advances to the CUNYAC Championships and will face host institution College of Staten Island at 2:00 p.m.
