BOX SCORE AMHERST, MA – The Hunter men's basketball team lost 70-68 to Mount Ida College on Friday night at the Hawks opening game of the Amherst College Tournament.
The Hawks got balanced scoring with all five of their starters nearing double-digit points.
Brian Kruger led the team with 13 points, on 10-of-10 shooting from the free throw line.
Robert Borusiewicz chipped in with 12 points, while
Eric Kippins had 10 points.
Lester Anim and
Daniel Sokolovsky chipped in with nine points apiece.
The Hawks were once again aggressive in getting to the free throw line, getting to the line 24 times.
Mt. Ida was led by Joey DeFillippi who scored a game high 16 points before fouling out in the final minute of the game.
The Hawks fall to 2-2 on the season but look to rebound Saturday when they will take on Johnson State College in the consolation game at 1pm.
