BOX SCORE 2 Bethlehem, PA - The Hunter softball team lost this weekend's double-header matchup with Moravian College, 12-0 and 8-0.
In game one, the Hawks were jumped on early and often with Moravian scoring all 12 of their runs in the first 2 innings.
Hawks starting pitcher
Erika Colangelo lasted only 1.1 innings giving up 10 runs.
Sierra Noud relieved Colangelo and pitched the final 2.2 innings giving up one run on one hit.
The Greyhounds two pitchers, Lizzie Mack and Carsin Conner, combined to no-hit the Hawks. They only allowed one base runner to reach.
In game two, the Hawks once again got behind early and weren't able to recover. Starting pitcher
Sara Beck pitched four innings giving up 8 runs (5 earned) and striking out two. Offensively, the Hawks only managed two hits by
Victoria Slavik and
Julia Lipovac, both went 1-for-2.
Greyhounds starter Lindsay Sullivan went 5 innings giving up only 2 hits and walking 3.
The Hawks now sit at 7-6 overall. They return to action Tuesday when Manhattanville College travels to New York for a double-header, first game is scheduled to start at 3pm.
