New York, NY - The Hunter College softball team has earned the #2 seed in the 2016 CUNYAC/Modell's Softball Championship Tournament as announced by the conference. They earned a first day bye and will begin play on Friday. With the exception of Wednesday's games, the tournament will be hosted by the College of Staten Island.

The College of Staten Island (11-1 CUNYAC) tops the field of six with Hunter (11-1 CUNYAC) settling for the second seed by virtue of a tie break. Baruch and John Jay follow suit with the number three and four seeds respectively while Lehman and Brooklyn round out the final two teams.

Baruch will play Brooklyn on Wednesday May 4 while the second game of the day will be between John Jay and Lehman. Friday, May 6 will feature four games. The 12pm game will be CSI versus the winner of #4/#5 while the game immediately after will be the Hawks taking on the winner of #3 versus #6. The full schedule is below.
