BOX SCORE Scranton, PA - Hunter College softball dropped two games on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the University of Scranton with scores of 7-0 and 12-4.
The Hawks recorded seven hits in the first game of the day with
Taylor Crofts going 2-4 and
Samantha Molloy hitting 2-3 to lead the team.
Caroline Bibula,
Stefanie Abolt and
Jamie Durso each added a hit as
Leanna Donahue and Bibula led the Purple and Gold from in the circle in the loss.
In the second game Hunter struggled to get on the scoreboard until the fifth inning when
Taylor Crofts singles to right field, recording an RBI as Brittney Salvdor scored. From there
Alana Vezza made it to home before
Victoria Slavik would triple down the left field line to tally two RBI's for the Hawks.Â
Slavik went 2-3 in the loss, while
Nicole Guzzone, Bibula and
Diana Ferreira each pitched for the Purple and Gold.
The Hawks return to action on Saturday when they travel to the College of Staten Island for a doubleheader, starting at 12 p.m.
