BOX SCORE 2 Brooklyn, NY - Hunter College softball got two conference wins on Saturday by defeating Brooklyn College with scores of 14-0 an 11-2.
The team improves to 12-12 overall this year and 10-2 in CUNYACÂ play.
Stefanie Abolt led the fight in the first game, going 3-4, recording three runs and posting six RBI's.
Taylor Crofts recorded three hits, while
Samantha Molloy,
Annalise McClellan and
Briana Monaco added two each.
Pitcher
Nicole Guzzone got the shut out, allowing just one Bulldog hit in the game.
Hunter took a quick 9-0 lead in the second inning of the second game off hits from Crofts, McClellan, Manaco and
Jamie Durso. The Hawks finished it out by scoring a run in the fourth and another in the fifth inning to take the second with a score of 11-2.
Caroline Bibula got the win for the Purple and Gold from in the circle, holding the Bulldogs to just two hits.
The Hawks return to action on April 26 when they host Manhattanville College at 3 p.m. at Randall's Island.
