Brooklyn, N.Y. - Hunter College women's swimming finished out the 2017-18 regular season with a victory over conference opponent Brooklyn College on Tuesday, defeating the Bulldogs with a score of 115-72.
The Hawks will compete at CUNYAC Championships next weekend after finishing conference play with an undefeated 6-0 record and the regular season title.
Several swimmers posted season best times at the meet and six swimmers won their events.
Christina Valente placed first in the 1000 free with a time of 12:59.22 for a personal record, while
Julia Mamone took first in the 200 free, recording a season best time of 2:14.86.
Gabrielle Oczos won the 50 free with a season best time (27.54) and
Samantha Helmy earned a top finish in the 100 butterfly (1:14.18).
Alexandra Rubiano continued to be a consistent force for the Purple and Gold, placing first in the 100 free and earning a season best time of 58.33.
Kelly Xue closed it out by winning the 100 backstroke with a season best time of 1:07.08.
The Hawks will look to win their fourth-straight conference championship next weekend when they compete in the CUNYAC Championships at Lehman College.
