BOX SCORE 2 New York, N.Y. - Hunter College softball opened up conference play with two victories over York College on Monday, taking down the Cardinals with scores of 19-0 and 16-0.
The Purple and Gold improved to 3-3 this season and are now 2-0 in CUNYAC.
Hunter started the day with a shut out as
Leanna Donahue got the win. Colleen McCoy, Susanna Granieri,
Jamie Durso,
Caroline Bibula,
Stefanie Abolt,
Brittney Salvador,
Annalise McClellan,
Samantha Molloy and Camryn Roy all recorded hits, while Gianna Raimondi led the team by going 4-4 in the win. Bibula posted a team-high five RBI's.
The Hawks followed that up with another win, led by
Diana Ferreira in the circle. Bibula, Roy and Dilailah Gomez recorded two hits each for the Hawks, while
Alisha Dovicsak drove in three runs.
The squad returns to the field on Tuesday when they travel to Montclair State for a doubleheader.
