New York, N.Y. – Hunter College women's swimming released the 2018-19 schedule on Wednesday, consisting of six meets to be hosted at the North Pool.
The Hawks will look to capture their fourth CUNYAC championship in five years after finishing second at last year's conference meet. Hunter posted 10 victories during the 2017-18 season and dropped just three meets.
The team will kick off the 2018-19 campaign with a home meet against division II rival Adelphi University on Friday, October 19. The Purple and Gold will look to avenge last season's loss to the Panthers after falling by a small margin.
From there the Hawks hit the road, traveling to Sarah Lawrence College for a meet on Saturday, October 27 before opening up CUNYAC competition with a meet at York College on Wednesday, October 31.
During the month of November, Hunter will compete in four meets, facing St. Joseph's College of Long Island (Nov. 2), the College of Staten Island (Nov. 9), Lehman College (Nov. 13) and Queens College (Nov. 19).
The team will host John Jay College this season in the annual Homecoming event on Friday, December 7 in the first of a three-meet home-stand. Brooklyn College comes to the Upper East Side on Friday, January 4 and the United States Merchant Marine Academy will swim at the North Pool on Tuesday, January 8.
The Hawks get a re-match against Baruch College on Friday, January 18 in their last regular-season meet. Last year the Hawks took down the Bearcats in a dual meet to capture the regular season CUNYAC championship before Baruch managed to take first at the CUNYAC championships.
The 2019 CUNYAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship will take place on Friday, February 1 to Sunday, February 3 at Lehman College.
