New York, NY - The men's fencing team hosted the first MACFA event of the year on Sunday and posted a 3-3 record with wins coming against Rowan, Rutgers and The College of New Jersey.

Highlights
The trio that made up the epee squad, Aaron. Buachie,
Anton Chmut and
Jason Vassell did not lose a single round. Against Rowan and TCNJ, they blanked their opponents and won 9-0. They defeated Drew and Lafayette 7-2, Rutgers 8-1 and Cornell 6-3.
Hunter's foil team had an impressive day and won four out of six. They blanked TCNJ and Rowan 9-0, and defeated Lafayette and Rutgers by identical scores of 6-3, but lost to Cornell (7-2) and Drew (6-3).
The lone fencer for the Purple and Gold in sabre was
Christopher Chino-Marin. He won his three individual bouts against Rowan and TCNJ.
Up next, the Hawks are back in action on Sunday, November 24 when they compete in the Drew Fall Classic hosted by the Drew University Rangers in Madison, NJ.
