New York, NY - The swimming and diving team competed in their final conference meet earlier this evening at their downtown rivals, Baruch College. On the strength of six individual and two relay wins, the Hawks bested the Bearcats by more than double, winning handily by a score of 125-60. The win pushes their record out to 6-2 overall and remain perfect in CUNYAC action, 4-0.

Hunter won both the 200m Medley Relay and 200m Freestyle Relay to bookend the meet. The Purple and Gold had three double event winners; Nancy Leal, Ava Maffucci and Germayne Chau. Leal was a double event winner, taking first in both the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly while Ava Maffucci also won her two events; the 50 and 100m freestyle. Chau topped the field in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke.

"I was really happy with how the team pulled together tonight for a win against Baruch" stated head coach Frederique Lefebvre. "We had some great swims overall, with every swimmer taking full advantage of every opportunity to race. We're looking forward to continuing this momentum at the end of the month at Champs. Go Hawks!"

The Hawks return to the pool on Tuesday, January 18 when they host the United States Merchant Marine Academy in their final meet of the regular season prior to post season action.. First swim is slated for a 6pm start.
