Chester, PA - The men's track and field team competed at the Widener Invitational over the weekend which consisted of over 35 teams. The Hawks performed well with three top-30 finishes on the day.
Alexander Marquez had the best individual finish for the Hawks after clocking in at 1:10.03 in the 400H for a 22nd place showing.
James Holland was the only other Hawk to crack the top-30 individually after he finished 29th in the long jump with a leap of 5.49m. Another highlight of the day was
Brian Guillermo who clocked in at 4:18.46 in the 1500m which qualifies him for the ECAC Championships. The team of
Matthew Lau, Salah ALhudais,
Deston McFarlane and
Robert Novo combined for a time of 3:53.60 in the 4x4 to place 28th.
The Hawks return to action next weekend when they compete at the College of New Jersey. The two-day meet will kick off on Friday, April 29 and conclude on Saturday, April 30.
