NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Hunter College men's outdoor track and field team continued its season at the Wilton Wright Invitational hosted by Southern Connecticut State University on Friday, with the team posting three top City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) marks.
Benjamin Landheim led Hunter, placing 10th overall against opponents from all three NCAA divisions in the 400H, with a time of 59.67, the fastest in the conference to-date. He also posted the top time in the CUNYAC in the 110H, as the Utah native crossed the tape in 19.58. The Hawks excelled in the 3000m steeplechase as well, with two-sport athlete
Leonardo Kaplan recording a conference-best time of 11:32.72, followed by
Robert Liang Xu with the no. 2 time in current CUNYAC standings at 11:52.70.
In the field,
Dylan Asuncion had a pair of second-best CUNYAC marks in the long jump (5.81m), and the triple jump (12.11m).
Mouhamed Diop had the conference's no. 3 mark in the high jump, at 1.70m.
Hunter returns to the track on Sunday at the Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invitational.
