BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College softball team fell in two home games against Farmingdale State College in today's double header, as the Hawks now sit at 4-8 overall, while Farmingdale moves to 12-7.

Game 1: Hunter 4, Farmingdale 12
From the opening innings, Hunter found themselves in a defensive battle against a formidable Farmingdale lineup. Despite their best efforts, defensive lapses early on allowed Farmingdale to capitalize and establish an early lead. Though they fought back with determination, the Hawks struggled to contain Farmingdale's relentless offensive pressure throughout the game.

Despite the scoreboard deficit, Hunter showcased resilience and determination, mounting a late offensive surge to narrow the gap. Olivia Palumbo and Paige  Witalec delivered crucial hits, with Sonia Rosales Rosenthal and Jessica Fowler driving in runs to spark their team's comeback attempt. However, their efforts ultimately fell short against Farmingdale's strong pitching and solid defense.

On the pitching mound, Brielle Staskavage battled through a challenging outing, facing a relentless Farmingdale lineup. Despite facing adversity, she demonstrated grit and determination, striving to keep her team within striking distance throughout the game. While the final score may not reflect it, Staskavage's resilience provided a silver lining amidst the tough loss for the Hawks.
