NEW YORK, N.Y.- Jayden Medina of the Hunter College wrestling team was ranked eighth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Division III Individual Regional Rankings, as announced the organizations' most recent poll.

Medina earned the eighth spot in Region 2 at 149 lbs. The sophomore standout started the season off strong. This past weekend at the Nassau Open, the sophomore led the Hawks, collecting five wins to finish fifth in his weight class. Earlier in the week, he notched a first period pin in Hunter's win over Keystone College, putting together a productive December for the Purple and Gold. 

Medina and the Hawks return to the mat on Jan. 3 at the Williams College open.
