NEW YORK — The Hunter College women's volleyball team has announced its 2025 schedule, featuring a competitive slate of tournaments, nonconference matchups, and seven CUNYAC contests as the Hawks set their sights on another deep postseason run.
Hunter opens the season Aug. 29 at the Rutgers–Newark Tri-Match, taking on Farmingdale State at 1 p.m. before facing host Rutgers–Newark at 3 p.m. The Hawks return to action Sept. 4 on the road against Saint Joseph's University Long Island, followed by a trip to the Bard Tri-Match on Sept. 6, where they face Utica University at 1 p.m. and Bard College at 3 p.m.
The Purple and Gold will compete in the Buttermaker Tournament at Muhlenberg College on Sept. 12–13, squaring off against William Peace, St. Lawrence, and the host Mules. CUNYAC play begins Sept. 16 at Lehman College before the team heads to the Kean University Tournament Sept. 19–20 for matches against Drew, Kean, Salisbury, and Alfred.
Conference play resumes Sept. 23 at Brooklyn College, followed by a Sept. 27 trip to the Centenary Tri-Match against Alfred and Centenary. The Hawks visit Montclair State on Oct. 4 for matches against the Red Hawks and Stevens before returning home Oct. 7 to face John Jay College. A nonconference matchup with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy follows on Oct. 9.
Hunter hits the road for the Ramapo Tri-Match on Oct. 11 to meet Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) and Ramapo before back-to-back away matches at York College (Oct. 16) and New York University (Oct. 17). The Hawks host Medgar Evers on Oct. 21, then travel to the DeSales Tri-Match on Oct. 25 for contests against Hood and DeSales.
The regular season wraps up with Senior Day on Oct. 30 against City College of New York, followed by a Nov. 1 trip to William Paterson for a tri-match. The final regular-season contest comes Nov. 4 at Baruch College, before the team closes out with the Vassar Tri-Match on Nov. 8 against USMMA and the host Brewers.
The CUNYAC Championship tournament is set for Nov. 11–14, with the Hawks looking to add to their storied history of postseason success.
