STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Hunter College men's indoor track and field team returned to action Friday night at the Spartan Invitational hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Facing a deep and crowded field, the Hawks were paced by strong relay efforts. The 4x200m relay squad of
Dylan Asuncion,
Jocsan Crespo,
Benjamin Landheim and
Ethan Sarante delivered Hunter's top finish of the meet, placing 11th overall with a time of 1:37.90. The DMR team of
Hengzhi Zhu,
Jack Treacher,
Alexander Shearman and Robert Liang-Xu secured a combined time of 1:37:90.
Brian Arias posted an impressive time of 4:40:07 in the mile to lead all City Unviersity of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) competitors on the weekend.
In the field events, Asuncion recorded an 11.31m mark in the triple jump, a season best.
Hunter will look to build momentum when it returns to competition at the Ramapo Season Opener at the Armory on Jan. 16.
