This was the first meeting between Hunter and Baruch since March 22, 2007 when the Bearcats shocked Hunter with a 3-1 victory in the CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Match. Today, Hunter proved to be the better team, but the game does not count towards conference standings. Hunter finishes the Stevens Invitational 1-2, while Baruch fell in all four of its matches during the weekend.
The Hawks improve to 4-2 on the season and will now prepare for a weekend road trip when they head up to Providence, Rhode Island to face Johnson & Wales on Saturday, February 2 and will then travel to Beverly, Massachusetts to take on Endicott College.
