New York, NY – Senior Ben Bonaventura (Hauppauge, NY/Hauppauge) and sophomore Vitaly Simkin (Brooklyn, NY/Sheepshead Bay) each earned decisions in a 38-6 loss to York College (PA) in the Hawks final home match of the 2007-08 season at the Hunter Sportsplex on Saturday afternoon.

In the first match, junior Evan Velez (Bronx, NY/Lehman) had an early 4-1 lead, but after sustaining a blow to the nose, he was unable to continue despite many attempts. Then after falling in some close matches, the Hawks got onto the board with a 10-5 decision by Simkin over junior Erik George (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) at 149 pounds.

Senior Ben Bonaventura (Hauppauge, NY/Hauppauge) picked up Hunter's final points on the day, in a 16-10 decision over sophomore Dennis Conklin (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) at 197 pounds.
