Adam Coleman built up a big lead in the third period, scoring four takedowns and one near fall for a major decision, 18-4 that put the Hawks up 10-0.

James Mustakis quickly found himself on the defensive end in the second period and gave up a 4:11 pin to junior Michael Ebert, putting Scranton on the board and cutting the Hawk lead to just five points.

Vitaly Simkin battled his way though all three periods to earn a 15-6 major decision over sophomore Tom Manning for his fifth win of the season and pushing the Hawk lead to 14-6.

Matt Cartusciello scored a takedown in the first and last period and dominated the riding time for his sixth win of the season, 5-0 over sophomore Steve Glickman to put the Hawks up 17-9.

Billy Calvacca took it up a notch, competing up a class from his usual spot at 165 pounds and was victorious, shutting out freshman Matthew Terry, 7-0 to give Hunter a 20-9 lead.

Ryan Baxter, who appeared to injury his hamstring in the first period, would succumb to sophomore Luke Genovese who scored the 3:39 pin in the second period.

Scranton sophomore Joe Williams picked up the easy forfeit victory, putting his team ahead 21-20 heading into the final heavyweight match.
The Hawks are back home again on Saturday, when they host Wilkes College for a 2:00 p.m. dual match.
