Wilkes-Barre, PA – The Hunter wrestling team opened up its season on Sunday with the tough task of taking on #18 Wilkes University who recorded wins in nine of the ten matches held to pick up a 33-3 victory on their home match in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

The Hawks only victory of the day came at 157 pounds with junior Eduardo Delgado (Long Beach, NY/Long Beach) made his Hunter debut with an 8-3 decision over junior James Histed to give the Hawks three points.

Hunter will return to the mat on Saturday for the first day of the Ithaca Invitational which will run through Sunday.
