Buffalo, NY – The men's volleyball team finished up their weekend in Buffalo with a 3-0 (30-19, 30-13, 31-29) win against Hilbert College and took down Sunday's host school, D'Youville in three sets as well (30-22, 30-17, 30-24) to improve to 3-1 on the weekend at the Nickel City Classic.

Sophomore outside hitter
Wojciech Jakubiak (Poreba, Poland/Grover Cleveland) led the team with 14 kills, nine digs and six serving aces, while hitting .409. Freshman middle blocker
Eric Barty (Jamaica, NY/Cardozo) added 11 kills and four total blocks, while junior setter
Zacarias Ripoll (Puerto Plata, D.R./John F. Kennedy) finished with 39 assists.
Hunter 3 – Hilbert 0
Jakubiak was the high man for the Hawks again, recording a match high 16 kills while hitting .750 and also getting ten digs and eight severing aces along the way.
Barty and freshman outside hitter
Jerin Kallickal (Kerala, India/Swanhakal) each finished with nine kills, hitting .353, while Ripoll added 27 assists.
The Hawks will open up conference play on Tuesday, when they head to the APEX, home of the Lehman Lightning, for a 7:00 p.m. match.
