New York, NY – Senior Brian Scher (Levittown, NY, MacArthur) had one of his toughest matches all season on Saturday, spending the final period on the mat, but prevented his opponent, Ryan Malo who is ranked fifth in the nation at 197 pounds from scoring a point and picked up a 4-3 victory, but the Hawks weren't able to defeat the #26 Williams College in the second round of the 2009 Metropolitan vs. New England Challenge at the Hunter Sportsplex Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Greg Pollock improved to 10-3 on the season with an 8-2 decision over Ethan Cohen.

Freshman Sean Messina improved his season mark to 10-2 with a 7-1 win over Josh Mattana.

165 pounds

Senior Billy Calvacca earned his tenth victory of the season with a 3-2 decision over James McCarthy.

The Hawks will return to action on Saturday February, 7 when they head to York Pennsylvania for a dual match with York College.
