Brooklyn, NY – Freshman outside hitter
Jerin Kallickal (Kerala, India/Swanhakal) recorded a match high 14 kills, while hitting .500 to help lead the Hawks to a 3-0 (30-15, 30-15, 30-23) sweep of the Brooklyn Bridges to improve to 14-11 and 6-0 in the CUNY Athletic Conference, Thursday night in Brooklyn, NY.
Sophomore outside hitter
Wojciech Jakubiak (Poreba, Poland/Grover Cleveland) also had a solid match for the Hawks, finishing with 11 kills, 15 digs and four aces, while senior
Miguel Pena (Las Vegas, NV/Las Vegas) tallied 29 assists.
The Hawks return home on Saturday when they are scheduled to host Baruch College and Lehman College for the second CUNYAC Multi-Match day of the season. The Baruch match is set to begin at 11:00 a.m., which will be followed by Lehman at 1:00 p.m.
