Bronx, NY – Senior middle blocker Shandu Foster (Long Island City, NY/Academy of American Studies) finished with a match high 11 kills, hitting .714 as the Hawks coasted past Lehman College 3-0 (30-11, 30-12, 30-13) in their first CUNYAC Division match of the season Tuesday night at the APEX.

Freshman middle blocker Eric Barty (Jamaica, NY/Cardozo) continues to excel for the Hawks, finished with nine kills and five serving aces, while the nation leader in aces, sophomore outside hitter Wojciech Jakubiak (Poreba, Poland/Grover Cleveland), had a match high eight aces while also pitching in with seven kills.

Following tonight's victory, the Hawks now stand at 7-6 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC Division of the the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association [NECVA]. They will return home on Thursday for a match with Sacred Heart University, a Division II team. In their last meeting, the Hawks defeated Sacred Heart in four sets.
