Bronx, NY – Junior outside hitter Christopher Newcomb (Waimea, Kauai, HI/Waimea) recorded a match high 13 kills to help lead the Hawks to their first CUNY Athletic Conference victory of the season, downing Lehman College 3-0 (30-26, 30-21, 30-19) on Tuesday night at the APEX.

Junior opposite Marcin Polak (Brooklyn, NY/Fort Hamilton) and freshman middle blocker Braien Otsla (Brooklyn, NY/New Utrecht) each finished with ten kills, with Polak also adding four serving aces and seven digs. Sophomore setter Brendan Feng (Jackson Heights, NY/Hunter) finished with a match high 31 assists, while sophomore outside hitter Eric Barty (Jamaica, NY/Cardozo) had nine kills.

Hunter (3-4, 1-0 CUNYAC) will next head to Jamaica, NY on Saturday for the first CUNYAC Multi-Match of the season hosted by York College where they are scheduled to face N.Y. City Tech at 9:00 a.m. and then Medgar Evers at 11:00 a.m.
