New York, NY – Playing in his final regular season home match, senior setter
Zacarias Ripoll-Cid (Puerto Plata, D.R./John F. Kennedy) shifted to the outside and put up a match high 12 kills performance as the Hawks coast past Medgar Evers College, 3-0 (30-0, 30-8, 30-6) in CUNY Athletic Conference men's volleyball action Tuesday night at the Sportsplex.
The outcome of the first set was decided by the officials as Medgar Evers had only three players present at the schedule start time, therefore, the first set was awarded to Hunter via a forfeit. The Cougars then arrived in time to play the second set.
Sophomore middle blocker
Roman Siromakha (Brooklyn, NY/New Utrecht) finished the two sets with a career high ten aces, the sixth most in a match in program history. Freshman middle blocker

Brendan Feng (Jackson Heights, NY/Hunter) had 22 assists and sophomore libero
Sam Martin had nine digs.
Hunter (20-9, 11-2 CUNYAC) will now travel to Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday where they are scheduled to face Johnson and Whales at Noon, followed by a match with #9 Endicott College at 2:00 p.m.
