NEW YORK, NY - The 14th ranked Hunter College men's volleyball team dropped Medgar Evers College, 3-0 (25-6, 25-5, 25-10) on Tuesday evening to run its win streak to eight matches.

Hunter--which landed on the AVCA Top-15 for the first time the season, improved to 12-7 and 9-0 in the CUNYAC. Medgar Evers dropped to 0-18 and 0-8 in the league.

The Hawks managed 40 kills on .462 attacking, tallying 11 service aces and nine team blocks in the winning effort.

John Gemegah paced the squad as he finished the day with nine kills and three solo blocks. Eric Barty added seven kills and a match-high six service aces while Stanley Martinez registered five kills and 31 assists.

Hunter limited the Cougars to just six kills on -.239 attacking and forced 11 reception errors.

The Hawks return to action this Saturday, March 17 when they face York College and Lehman College in a CUNYAC multi-match at 10am and 12pm respectively.
