Wilkes-Barre, P.A. - The men's wrestling team dominated early and often as they defeated King's College 30-13 this past Sunday. The victory improves the Hawks record to 5-7 while the Monarchs drop to 5-9.

The Hawks won all but four matches to take down the Monarchs. Jaydon Rice had a major decision over Jamie Scarantino at 125 pounds, and Kenneth Albert won by injury default over Aaron Perez at 133 pounds.

DeMarquis Holley nabbed a 3-2 decision over Chris Gogatz at 141 pounds, then Brady Kwong pinned Martin Dartoe at 6:24 at 149 pounds giving Hunter a 16-3 lead.

Jesse Bader won a 6-0 decision at 157 pounds, while Nicholas Wilke dropped a major decision in the 165 class. Luke Pragdat had a tech fall over Anthony Clifford, giving his team a 24-7 lead.

The Monarchs then battle back, claiming the next two matches as  Dennis Meledez struggled as he dropped a 8-5 decision at the 185 class and Alan Djokic lost a 7-3 decision at 197.

Patryk Kopczynski ended things right for the Hawks, as he pinned Cemah Tudae-Torboh at 4:46, allowing the Hawks a 30-13 victory.

The Hawks are back on the mats on February 16^th when they host Johnson and Wales and Steven's Tech.
