Men's Volleyball Drops Two at Stevens-Tech Tri-Match

Hoboken, N.J. - The men's volleyball dropped two games this past Saturday against Stevens Tech and Stevenson in the Stevens Tech Tri-Match. With the losses, the men fall to 1-6.

Against the Ducks of Stevens Tech, the Hawks were led by Braien Otsla who had eight kills and one ace. Matthew Ng added seven kills and four digs while Stanley Martinez added six kills and 23 assists. The Ducks were led  by Ian Tyger with 10 kills.

After dropping the first set 19-25 ,the Hawks were down 19-23 in the second, but rallied back to tie the score 23-23, but the Ducks took the next two points to win the set 25-23. The third set deemed no better for the Hawks, as they lost a 18-25 decision.

Against the Mustangs of Stevenson, after dropping the first two sets (18-25, 22-25) the Hawks came together to win the third set 25-19 after two kills by Otsla. However in the fourth set the Mustangs overpowered the Hawks, winning it 13-25.

The Hawks are back in action on Thursday, February 21st when they travel to Baruch College to take on the Bearcats.  The game is slated for a 6pm start.
