Men's Volleyball Struggles Against Vassar

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The men's volleyball team traveled upstate to Vassar College on Friday night to compete against the Vulcans. After a competitive first set, the men struggled in the second and third to drop a 3-0 (19-25, 12-25, 15-25) decision. With the loss, the men drop to 1-4, while Vassar improves to 4-3.

The Hawks were led by freshman Alex Barbulescu with seven kills, two digs, and one block. He was followed by Matthew Ng with five kills, and two digs, while Braien Otsla added four kills and two digs. Stanley Martinez tallied 16 assists while libero Eric Lodde notched six digs.

The Vulcans were led by Joe Pyne and Matt Elgin who each had 10 kills.

The Hawks are back in action when they compete in the Stevens-Tech tri-match on Saturday, February 16th.
