Men's Volleyball Drops Five-Setter to Cairn

Langhorn, P.A. – The men's volleyball dropped a heartbreaking loss to the Highlanders of Cairn University 3-2 ( 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25, 13-15).  With the loss, the men drop 0-3 while Cairn improves to 3-4.
 
Hunter was led by Braien Otsla and Matthew Ng who both recorded 17 kills.  Ng added 10 digs and two service aces while setter Stanley Martinez had 45 assists. Libero Eric Lodde had 14 digs while Moshood Jinad added 9 kills.
 
The Highlanders were led by Noah Prickett who had 19 kills and 11 digs and also Ryan Garven who had 12 kills.
 
The two teams traded off sets, forcing a 5th and final set to determine the winner. After being down 13-9, the Hawks regrouped and won the next three points after a kill by Nino Hot and Braien Otsla getting the score to 13-12. After a Hawk service error and a kill from Cairn the Highlanders were able to walk away with the victory.
 
The Hawks are back in action on Saturday, February 9th when they compete in the Lehman Multi-match.
