Ramapo Takes Down Hunter in Men’s Volleyball, 3-1

BOX SCORE Mahwah, NJ - The Hawks suffered a 3-1 (25-27, 18-25, 25-20, 23-25) lost to Ramapo College on Thursday, March 28th. Moshood Jinad and Braien Otsla led Hunter with 12 and 10 kills respectively.
 
Hunter dropped the first two sets to Ramapo. In the third set, Hunter attacked the Rampano defense recording 14 total kills led by Braien Otsla's four. Both Alexandru Barbulescu and Moshood Jinad added three kills, while Stanley Martinez paced the Hawks with 11 assists. Hunter minimized their earlier mistakes in the first two sets and had a game-low five errors in a 25-20 win. Ramapo went on to close out the game in the fourth set with a 25-23.
 
Moshood Jinad had 12 kills with three blocks for the Hawks. Braien Otsla had 10 kills with three blocks, Alexandru Barbulescu added nine kills with three blocks, and Nino Holt had six kills. Defensively, Braien Otsla recorded nine digs while Stanley Martinez and Eric Lodde both had seven each.
 
The Hawks will next compete at the CUNYAC Multi-Match, hosted by CCNY on Saturday, March 30th. Hunter plays Baruch at 11:00 a.m. followed by Brooklyn College at 3:00 p.m.
