New York, NY - Nino Holt led the Hawks with 12 kills and Stanley Martinez recorded a game-high 29 assists as Hunter cruised through the quarterfinals round of the 2013 CUNYAC Championships defeating John Jay 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-10) on Tuesday, April 9^th.
 
Hunter netted a team total of 39 kills and 32 defensive digs in their win over John Jay. Nino Holt led the offensive attack hitting double-figures with 12 kills, while Braien Otsla added seven kills and Moshood Jinad had six kills.
 
Stanley Martinez controlled the momentum setting up his Hawks with 29 assists and leading the defense with 10 digs.
 
The Hawks advance to the semifinal round of the CUNYAC Championships which will be held on Friday, April 12^th at CCNY. Hunter will play at 4:00 p.m. against the winner of #3 York and #6 Lehman.
