Men's Volleyball Goes Down in Four Against #1 Springfield

New York, N.Y – The men's volleyball team lost a close match against #1 ranked Springfield College on Tuesday night, 1-3 (21-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-25). With the loss, the Hawks fall to 0-4 while Springfield improves to 4-3.

After dropping the two extremely close sets, the Hawks were able to rebound in the third. The Hawks were down 7-10 in the third, but thanks to a kill from Matthew Ng and errors on Springfield's side, Hunter was able to lift over Springfield 25-23 to take their only set.

Ng led the Hawks with 10 kills, three digs and two blocks while Stanley Martinez tallied 21 assists. Nino Hot had eight kills while Eric Lodde recorded six digs.

Springfield was led by Luis Vega who had a game-high of 15 kills and five digs.

The Hawks are back in action on February 4th when they host Cairn University and Ramapo College.
