New York, N.Y – The wrestling team dropped a tough 31-15 decision to the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday, January 4^th. With the loss, the Hawks fall to 0-3 in dual action while USMMA improves to 1-2.

Stephen Drew took his weight class at 133, while Nick Wilkie (157) and Patryk Kopczynski (285), and Dennis Melendez (184) won their respective weight classes.

"Stephen was the highlight of the day as he won by pin one second before time expired. Patryk showed a lot of heart and determination as he came from behind to win in OT. It was great to see Nick come away with a win. He is working hard to become better each day and his approach is finally showing in competition. Dennis also looked sharp in his victory," said head coach Chris Mazzatta.

The Hawks are back on the mats on Saturday, January 11^th when they compete in the North-South Duals.
