Middletown, C.T. – The Hunter College wrestling team closed out its dual meet season this past weekend at Wesleyan University. The Hawks went 1-2 for the day, grabbing a win against SUNY Oswego 27-21. The Hawks record stands now at 5-13.

Kenny Albert (125) went a perfect 3-0 for the day, pinning James Ronca of Osewgo at 4:58 and had a 5-0 decision against JWU.

Jaydon Rice (133) also went 3-0 for the day, having a 7-1 decision over Wesleyan's James Hamilton, then going on to pin his opponent against Oswego at 4:00.  Rice went on to get his second pin of the day when he defeated Ben Tepper of JWU at 1:40.

"Overall our individual performances continue to improve and we seem to be peaking at the best time. Jaydon and Kenny both went 3-0 today with bonus points in multiple matches. Nick also went 2-0 at 157. We came away with one dual win while missing a few starters, which is a good sign," says head coach Chris Mazzatta.

The Hawks are back in action on March 2^nd when they compete in the NCAA Regionals hosted by King's College.
