New York, N.Y – The men's volleyball team dropped a tough match against CUNYAC rival #7 ranked Bearcats of Baruch, 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-18). With the loss, the Hawks fall to 3-7, 2-1 CUNYAC while Baruch improves to 8-1, 4-0 CUNYAC.

The first set went point for point, with the Hawks pulling ahead 18-13 thanks to kills from Steven Tarquinio and assists from Stanley Martinez. The Bearcats were able to pull away, winning five points in a row off Brady Ambro's serve.

The Hawks were led by Mehmet Ozturk who tallied five kills and five digs, and Alexandru Barbulescu who also had five kills. Martinez dished out 20 assists while libero Eric Lodde had eight digs.

Baruch was led by Jack Mckee who scored a game-high of 12 kills.

Hunter is back in action on February 27^th when they compete against Brooklyn College.
