Men's Volleyball Dropped by Ramapo

New York, N.Y – The men's volleyball team dropped a tough five-setter to the Roadrunners of Ramapo College on Tuesday night at the Sportsplex. With the loss, the Hawks drop to 3-8, while Ramapo improves to 10-3.

The Hawks were able to squeeze the first set out 25-23, but attack errors and kills by Ramapo in the second set put the score tied at 1-1.

The Hawks stormed ahead 6-0 in the beginning of the third set with six assists in a row from Stanley Martinez, with Hunter using that momentum for the rest of the set taking it 25-21. After the Roadrunners won the fourth set 25-16, the Hawks fell in the final fifth set 15-7.

Senior Matthew Ng had a team high of 17 kills and seven digs, while Stanley Martinez had a game high of 35 assists. Alexandru Barbulescu added 11 kills and four blocks, while Colin Horn had 14 digs.

The Hawks are back in action on Thursday when they compete against Brooklyn College.
