Men's Volleyball Dominates Brooklyn

Brooklyn, N.Y – The men's volleyball team defeated Brooklyn College 3-1 (25-22, 25-16, 26-28, 25-14) on Thursday night. With the win, the Hawks improve to 4-8, 3-1 CUNYAC while the Bulldogs drop to 7-8, 3-2 CUNYAC.

After taking the first two sets with relative ease, Brooklyn started to rally back in third winning three key points in a row to get the score to 23-21, eventually taking the set. In the fourth set, the Hawks took roaring 10-3 lead, and the Bulldogs weren't able to catch up as the Hawks took the fourth and final set 25-14.

Matthew Ng led the men with 11 kills and eight digs, while Ben Crusinberry had 10 kills, seven digs, and two blocks. Senior setter Stanley Martinez had 37 assists while libero Eric Lodde had 13 digs.

Brooklyn was led by Mihail Osipov with 16 kills.

The Hawks are back in action on March 5th when they host John Jay.
