New York, NY – The Hunter College men's volleyball team extended their winning streak to 6 matches in a row by defeating CCNY 3-1 on Tuesday night at the Hunter College Sportsplex.

The Hawks posted scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-18, 25-18. With the win the Hawks improve to 9-8 overall and 8-1 in CUNYAC.

CUNYAC Rookie of the Week Steven Tarquinio had 13 kills and nine blocks, with a .391 hitting percentage. Alexandru Barbulescu also had 13 kills while hitting .364. Nino Hot and Ben Crusinberry each had 9 kills.

Stanley Martinez dished out 41 assists and Eric Lodde had 12 digs.

Derell Williams had 10 blocks for the Beavers who fall to 8-15 overall and 4-6 CUNYAC.

The Hawks return to action on Thursday night at 6pm when Lehman College comes to the Sportsplex.
