BOX SCORE New York, NY – The Hunter Hawks men's volleyball team lost 3-0 to #3 SUNY New Paltz on Wednesday night at the Hunter College Sportsplex. The loss dropped the Hawks to 11-10.
New Paltz posted scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-18 in victory.
The Hawks played New Paltz very closely in the 1st and 2
nd sets.
Matthew Ng smashed out 10 kills, while hitting .350 and
Nino Hot belted out six kills of his own.
Stanley Martinez dished out 18 assists and
Ben Crusinberry got nine digs.
New Paltz was led by Tim Ferriter's 13 kills and .391 hitting percentage, Christian Smith smashed 11 kills and dished out 19 assists. John Lutjen had 27 assists for the #3 ranked team in country.
The Hawks return to action Saturday when they head to Baruch for an important CUNYAC tri-match when they take on Brooklyn College at 10am and #11 Baruch at 2pm.
